More Idea Development Into A Treatment

In this blog post I will be bullet pointing some story lines I have mind-mapped in my sketchbook, I will then be developing these into a treatment by the end of tomorrow

• Main character will be called Ronnie

• Intro will show main character behind a sheet of glass or plastic trying to escape and when he can't a lot of colored water will be thrown over him which will be accompanied by a voice over and a few double exposure visuals - the voice over will be about his downfall, will include lots of metaphors and interpretations about the positive side of the hallucinogenic trip, he quotes stuff about his past life and will be done in a beautiful poetic way, he then talks emotionally about how this was him when he was a clean and sober kid/teenager. He tries to escape from the glass but he can't.

• You then see the main character Ronnie appear as himself but frozen behind this piece of glass, the video will strobe so that you see him every 0.5 seconds with a cut to black in between around 5-10 times.

• You then see something on the screen which is black and white that you cannot make out what it is, it looks like a bubble or a circle at the moment and it is slowly growing, similar to the transition between a caterpillar and a Butterfly.

• You then see main character Ronnie wake up in the first location which is a very nice field/green area, there will be some trippy visuals in this clip put on the screen with double exposure and different types of blending modes, this scene represents the positive part of the drug trip, the grass will be greener, he will be laughing very highly and there will be some sound warps with laughter for about 3 seconds in the middle of this shot, there will be some close ups mainly as well as some medium shots in this scene.

• Black room which he cant escape from- music cuts out to another voice over/piece of poetry about the negative side of the trip-more metaphors/references to other stuff - towards the end of this shot there will be strobing lasers when the music starts up again plus some close up shots of the main character being happy, but this soon changes when the strobe light turn from colored to red and white/grey and there is a quick black fade out, before the fade out there is some angry emotions portrayed by the main character.

• Ronnie then wakes up in a derelict/abandoned place, running around scared looking for things and gets greeted by some demons and some things from his past which he gets very angry and terrified by, more shots of him running around these derelict places.

• He then wakes up surrounded after a cut scene with fire and blood all around him, he looks terrified and then a cut scene to the end scene.

• The ending will be a cut scene to the main character flying into heaven which will be accompanied by another voice over to end the music video.

This is just some ideas I am thinking about including and I will then develop it into a treatment, I hope I can start developing the next part of the production after this.

Over the next few days I will start scheduling all of these ideas into an actual story line with story boards and will then start to film and make the visuals etc. Will be constantly updating the site
